2. Homemade Supreme Crunchwrap

Delish has not one, but TWO recipes that are exact replicas of Taco Bell’s Crunchwrap Supreme due to our obsession with it. Even though we adore the meatless version of the original crunchwrap, we still have a particular place in our hearts for it. All the essential ingredients of the famous Taco Bell dish are included in this authentic imitation crunchwrap, including seasoned ground beef, nacho cheese sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, sour cream, and—most importantly—a crispy tostada shell.

What can I use this for?

Numerous napkins Just kidding, sort of. Although we believe that this crunchwrap is a fantastic meal in and of itself if you’re looking for a side dish, why not fry up some handmade tortilla chips? Any sour cream or leftover nacho cheese sauce will taste fantastic with them.

TIME TO COOK: 0 HOURS 25 MINUTES

TIME TOTAL: 0 HOURS 45 MINUTES

INGREDIENTS:

1 pound of ground beef
Chili powder, 1 teaspoon
Ground paprika, half a teaspoon
1/8 teaspoon cumin powder
Halal salt
black pepper freshly ground
8 substantial flour tortillas
Nacho cheese sauce, half a cup
Four taco shells
Sour cream, 1 cup
2 cups of chopped lettuce
1 cup of tomatoes, chopped
1 cup of grated cheddar
One cup of chopped Monterey Jack
Vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon

DIRECTIONS:

Combine the spices, ground beef, and salt and pepper in a sizable nonstick skillet over medium heat. Cook for about 6 minutes, breaking up the meat with a wooden spoon until it is no longer pink. Put the meat in a basin and reserve it. Remove fat from the skillet and clean it. Place a tostada shell in the middle of a stack of four big flour tortillas. Trace the shell’s edges with a paring knife to create four smaller flour tortilla rounds. Create Crunchwraps by placing a substantial border around the middle of the remaining 4 large flour tortillas before adding a scoop of ground meat. Place a tostada shell on top of each, then drizzle cheese sauce over them all. Each shell should have sour cream on it before being topped with cheese, lettuce, and tomatoes. Fold the edges of the giant flour tortilla closely toward the center to form pleats, then top with smaller flour tortilla cuts. Crunchwraps should be quickly inverted so the pleats are on the bottom and they stay together. Heat oil in the same skillet over medium heat. Seam-side down, add Crunchwrap, and heat for 3 minutes on each side, or until tortilla is golden. the remaining Crunchwraps, then repeat.

4. Grilled Cheese Sloppy Joe

My go-to midweek dinner using ground beef is a sloppy joe. They include protein and vegetables in a sauce that kids (and adults) love, are quicker and easier than burgers, and are a great source of both. You may even say that sloppy Joes don’t need to get better. But now since I’m asking you to do that, I’m adding two essential components to the recipe: crispy bread and grilled cheese.

Sloppy Joe Grilled Cheeses: Why They Outperform Sloppy Joes

Sloppy Joes are implied to constantly be untidy by the word “sloppy” in their name. They’re enjoyable in part because of it! However, saucy meat on a soft bread might result in the latter. There is a difference between sloppy and overly messy. Fortunately, there is a quick cure that is grilled cheese-inspired: Make the bread thicker and crispier, and use cheese to hold the filling in place. Grilled cheese sandwiches with sloppy joe sauce are more simpler to eat and, dare I say it, even tastier than the original.

YIELDS: 4

DURATION OF PREP: 0 HOURS 10 MIN

TIME TO COOK: 0 HOURS 20 MIN

TIME TOTAL: 0 HOURS 30 MINUTES

INGREDIENTS:

Extra-virgin olive oil, 1 tablespoon
1 chopped medium onion
1 pound of ground beef
2 minced garlic cloves
12 cups of ketchup
Packet brown sugar, one-third cup
Yellow mustard, 2 tablespoons
Chili powder, 1 tablespoon
Halal salt
black pepper freshly ground
4 tablespoons of butter for bread
8 sandwiches made with bread
2 cups of grated cheddar

DIRECTIONS:

Heat oil in a big skillet over medium heat. Add the onion and stir-fry for 5 minutes, or until tender. Add the ground beef and cook it for 6 to 8 minutes, breaking up the meat as you stir. Remove fat.

Add the ketchup, garlic, brown sugar, mustard, and chili powder to the meat mixture in the skillet over medium heat. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes or until thick. After transferring the mixture to a platter, clean the skillet.

Put together sandwiches: Each bread slice should have butter on one side. Spoon the sloppy joe mixture over one slice of bread that has been brushed with butter. Add a cup of cheddar cheese and one additional buttered-side-up slice of bread on top.

Cook for about 3 minutes on each side of the bread over medium heat until brown and the cheese is melted. To create a total of 4 sandwiches, repeat with the remaining ingredients.

5. Baked Ravioli Lasagna

Prepare this lasagna for the family on a hectic weekday. With just five ingredients, including store-bought ravioli, it can be made in 15 minutes.

8 Servings per Yield

TIME SPENT ON PREP: 0 HOURS 15 MIN

Duration: 1 hour and 15 minutes.

INGREDIENTS:

1 pound of ground beef
Kosher salt and a medium onion, diced
black pepper freshly ground
2 minced garlic cloves
32-ounce jar of marinara
Whole milk, 16 ounces ricotta
One big egg
1/4 cup of freshly chopped basil, divided into 1 cup, with additional for garnish.
Garlic powder, 1 teaspoon
Two (12-oz) containers of frozen cheese ravioli and two cups of shredded mozzarella

DIRECTIONS:

Grease a 9″ x 13″ baking dish with cooking spray and preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Add ground beef and onion to a sizable nonstick skillet that has been warmed over medium heat. Once the beef is browned and the onion is tender, about 10 minutes, season with salt and pepper, drain the fat, and then add the steak back to the skillet. Add the marinara and the garlic, then lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes to let the flavors merge.

In the meantime, combine the ricotta, egg, 1/4 cup Parmesan, basil, garlic powder, and salt & pepper in a medium bowl. To blend, stir.

In the preheated pan, spread 1/3 of the meat sauce. One layer of ravioli, half the remaining meat sauce, half the ricotta mixture, half the mozzarella, and the last bit of Parmesan cheese are placed on top. Continue layering and finish with cheese.

Aluminum foil should be used loosely to cover the pan. Bake for 30 minutes. After 15 minutes, remove the foil and continue baking until bubbling and brown. Serve after scattering the leftover basil.
